Rick is the Managing Director of grayValuation, LLC, located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Rick has over thirty years of professional experience in public accounting, with the last twenty-seven-plus years spent exclusively in valuation and litigation support services. Specific client engagement experience includes: commercial litigation, marital dissolution, fraud investigations, mergers and acquisitions, buy-sell agreements, corporate reorganization, succession planning, estate and gift tax valuations, and valuation for financial reporting.
Rick serves as a faculty member, grader, and mentor for the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA®) credentialing program and is an Adjunct Professor in the graduate education program at Florida Atlantic University.
Rick has served as the Board Chair for NACVA’s Executive Advisory Board, its Education Quality Assurance Board, and its Valuation Credentialing Board. He has made a number of presentations at the national and local level, written a number of articles, and most recently was the Technical Author for the Business Valuation Fundamentals, Techniques, and Theory textbook published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. in 2026.
